Linda Kay (Coons) Martin, 76, passed away Friday, January 16, 2026, at her home in Platte City, MO.
Born February 3, 1949, to Floyd Jr. and Norma Coons She lived her childhood years in Platte City, MO and graduated Platte County High School in 1966. She was united in marriage to Pat Martin on August 26, 1967, at the First Baptist Church in Platte City. On February 6, 1975, they welcomed their beloved son, Eric. Linda and Pat lived in Platte City for many years. Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Eric. She is survived by her husband, Pat, grandchildren Austyn (Leighanne) Martin, Lukas (Itzel) Martin, her great-grandchildren, Savannah, Waylon, Presley and Brooklyn, her 2 sisters and her 5 brothers, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
Her kindness and her love will be forever missed by all. While our hearts are heavy, we are also filled with immense gratitude for the time we were able to share with her. Linda, you are forever loved.
