COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations up in Buchanan County

After falling slightly over the weekend, new coronavirus cases jumped by 75 on Monday, bringing the Buchanan County total since the pandemic began to 2,851.

Mosaic Life Care reports an increase in COVID-19 hospitalizations.

Mosaic says 59 COVID-19 patients are being treated as of Tuesday morning at its St. Joseph hospital with two hospitalized in Maryville.

Mosaic has now tested 35,551 area residents with 2,700 testing positive. Mosaic is awaiting results from 418 tests.

St. Joseph health officials report 25 new COVID-19 cases in Buchanan County on Saturday, 26 on Sunday, and 75 on Monday.

Andrew County reports three new cases of COVID-19, bringing its total to 442. Andrew County has recorded three deaths.

Doniphan County, Kansas now reports 120 cases of COVID-19.

Missouri health officials report 134,583 cases total, resulting in 2,200 deaths.

Kansas has recorded 62,708 total cases with 706 deaths.
