ATCHISON COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just after 6:30p.m. Monday in Atchison County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2017 Toyota Camry driven by a 79-year-old Lawrence, Kansas, man was northbound on Interstate 29 approximately three miles south of Rock Port.
The car rear-ended a 2020 Freightliner semi driven by a 32-year-old from Council Bluffs, Iowa. After impact the Toyota traveled into the driving lane and a 2022 Freightliner semi driven by a 52-year-old woman from Omaha, Nebraska, rear-ended the car and overturned
EMS transported the Toyota driver and driver of the 2022 Freightliner to Nemaha County Hospital. The semi driver was later transferred to Bergan Mercy Hospital. The driver of the 2020 semi was not injured. All three were properly restrained, according to the MSHP.
