Awyn Lee Hughes passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023.
Awyn Lee Hughes, 87, was born in St Joseph Mo. She died from complications of an aphasia stroke. She was wrapped in the arms of her daughter and Grand dog, Gucci when she left us. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Bill Hughes. We pray they are now together & will never be apart.
She was the perfect mother to Brenda Murray (Avery) of Sunrise Beach, MO and to Brian Hughes of St Joseph. A loving former daughter-law Jane Hughes and their two sons Greg Hughes (Robin) and Scott Hughes.
I wish you could have seen the look on Awyn's face when she was given two precious little great grandchildren, the world became perfect when Owen Gregory and Natalie LouAnn were born. She devoted her love to her family and being a “Grandma A”. She leaves two nephews Mark and Mike Hamann of Oregon, sister in-law Betty Rasco and many other nieces and nephews as well as friends who adored her to the end including the care takers from Mosaic, Carriage Square, Country Squire, Living Community & our loving Hospice nurses.
Awyn loved yellow roses so anytime you see one think of her & blow her a kiss.
Graveside service at Mount Olivet Cemetery Tuesday, September 12th at 11:00 AM.
