Platte County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Megan Benton has been appointed Associate Circuit Judge for the 6th Judicial Circuit.
Gov. Mike Parson appointed Benton to fill the vacancy created by the appointment of W. Ann Hansbrough to Circuit Judge.
Benton, who lives in Parkville, holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in political science from Emory University in Atlanta and a law degree from Vanderbilt University of Nashville.
