ATCHISON COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 10a.m. Sunday in Atchison County, Missouri.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2018 Hyundai Ioniq driven by a 48-year-old Freeland, Washington woman was southbound on Interstate 29 five miles east of Watson. The Hyundai rear-ended a 2023 Nissan Titan driven by a 49-year-old Independence, Missouri man who merged in driving lane in front of the Hyundai as the vehicles approached exit 116.
Atchison Holt ambulance transported the Hyundai driver to Grape Community Hospital in Iowa. The Nissan driver was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
