Gerald (Jerry) E. Cogdill, 63, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2023.
He was born July 15, 1960 to Alva and Shirley (Dinwiddie) Cogdill in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Jerry graduated from Lafayette High School.
He was employed as a laborer for Mead Products, GA Thompson, Roderick Sign, and Blue Tree.
Jerry loved watching the blue chickens(Jayhawks)and the Chiefs play. He was an avid motocross racer and fan all his life and enjoyed attending races with his friends and family. He loved spending time around the table with his friends especially, Jay, Jimmy and Johnny as well as hanging out with his family and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father.
Survivors include his brother, Mike Cogdill (Lisa) and his nephews, Trevor Cogdill (Abbi) and Dylan Cogdill (Kelsey) and his great niece and nephew.
For those of you that knew him well rest assured Harold is up above, having a Budweiser watching over us all.
Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Cremation under the direction of Simplify Cremations & Funerals.
