Marcia Velazquez, 70, Cosby, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2023.
She was born May 30, 1953, in Kansas City, Missouri to Charles and Norma (Westphal) Smith.
She had previously worked at Bob Bett’s Auto, Tyson Foods and Walmart.
Marcia enjoyed reading and loved animals.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Benjamin Velazquez; grandchildren, Devon and Parker Velazquez; step-siblings Lisa Myer and Rodney Griggs.
Survivors include her children, Jessica Velazquez, Andrea Thompson (Josh), and Jeffrey Velazquez; grandchildren, Logan, Jacob and Makenna Ferguson, Cassidy and Emily Velazquez, Chance Velazquez, and Jace and Myles Thompson; stepfather, Willis Griggs; stepmother, Beverly Leathers; siblings, Kay Phillippe (Jim) and Marc Smith (Mary), and numerous nieces and nephews.
