Ronald Dean Beaman, 83, passed away Wednesday. July 19, 2023 at Lansing Care and Rehab, Leavenworth, Kansas. He is survived at the home by his wife Virginia Kay Beaman.
Born and raised in Lawrence, Kansas, Ron served in the Air Force.
Ron attended Washburn University and Clark School of Business in Topeka, Kansas and worked as an accountant for a number of years.
In 1978 Ron and Kay became Roller Skating Rink operators in Sedalia, Missouri and in 1986, in Leavenworth, The Wheel Thing Skate Center, from which they retired in 2018.
Ron enjoyed riding and racing motorcycles and in latter years they would meet friends in Colorado where the men would trail ride in the Rocky Mountains. Ron and Kay traveled over much of the States camping along the way.
Ron is survived by his widow, V. Kay of Leavenworth: a brother Leroy Beaman and Dwan Beaman, inlaws P.K. Witty and Susan E. Witty: nephew Jason P. Witty and Tina M. Witty, and nephew Jeremy J.
Witty and Julie L. Witty; niece Cammie Arrington and David Arring grandnephews Maxwell P. Witty, Jakob T. Witty, Andrew C. Witty grandniece Sage R. Witty, Olivia Arrington.
A celebration of life will held at a later date.
