Two 15-year-old girls hospitalized after ATV rolls

DEKALB COUNTY — Two people were injured in an accident just before 7:30p.m. Thursday in  DeKalb County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2012 Polaris ATV driven by a 15-year-old Cameron girl was southbound on Harris Road five miles north of Cameron.

The driver lost control of the ATV on a gravel road. The ATV left the road, overturned, struck a fence and overturned a second time.

A private vehicle transported the driver and a 15-year-old female passenger from Apex, North Carolina, to Cameron Regional Medical Center. They were not wearing helmets, according to the MSHP.
