Lori Witham and Rick Gilmore have won the two open St. Joseph School Board seats.

Witham received 29.18% of votes and Gilmore received 22.96%.

"It has been an unexpectedly long campaign, so in that respect, I'm relieved and glad to be finished with it and ready to get to work," Witham says. "There's much that's going to have to be done."

Gilmore says he's happy for the opportunity to serve on the board and bring his ideas to different committees.

"I'm glad I can represent the people of St. Joe and listen to them and see what their input is and be able to use that with our planning, especially this year, it's going to be a difficult year," Gilmore says.

Voter turnout for Tuesday's General Municipal Election was 13.6% with 6,967 ballots cast out of 51,256 registered voters.
