Dave Riggert was able to talk with Missouri Western women's tennis coach Olaya Garrido-Rivas and she discusses her season getting canceled by COVID-19, her first year as a head coach, growing up in Spain and coming to the United States in 2013.
Garrido-Rivas was a player at South Florida and TCU before starting her coaching career as an assistant at Middle Tennessee State before coming to MWSU. The Griffons were 6-5 in her first year as a head coach before the rest of the spring season was canceled.
