COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Women's Basketball will host TCU at Mizzou Arena in the 2020 SEC/Big 12 Challenge this upcoming season, as announced by the league offices on Thursday. Official game information and start times will be announced at a later date.
It will be the third matchup and the first since 1990 between the two schools, with the Tigers holding a 2-0 advantage in the all-time series. Mizzou earned a 67-59 victory over the Horned Frogs in Forth Worth, Texas on Dec. 31, 1989 and a 71-48 win in Columbia on Dec. 29, 1990.
This season’s matchup will be the third time Mizzou has participated in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge. Previously, Mizzou earned wins over Kansas State (73-59 – Nov. 30, 2017) and at West Virginia (68-51 – Dec. 2, 2018).
Mizzou is coming off a 2019-20 campaign where the freshman duo of Aijha Blackwell (Berkeley, Mo.) and Hayley Frank (Strafford, Mo.) both earned All-SEC Freshman Team honors. Blackwell led Mizzou in scoring (15.0 ppg, rebounding (7.3 rpg) and assists (2.7 apg) while Frank averaged 11.8 points per game and led in the SEC in free throw percentage (.878).
