Buchanan County moves toward 500 COVID-19 cases; free tests Saturday

Buchanan County is moving toward 500 cases of COVID-19.

Buchanan County and St. Joseph health officials report 485 coronavirus cases; 444 confirmed and 41 probable with two deaths. Andrew County now reports 13 COVID-19 cases.

Mosaic Life Care now reports testing more than 3,553 people with 176 testing positive for COVID-19. Twelve have been hospitalized in St. Joseph with one hospitalized in Albany. Mosaic is awaiting results from 138 tests.

Mosaic is offering free COVID-19 testing this weekend at its St. Joseph hospital. Missouri state officials have provided 2,000 test kits. About 600 spots remain for Buchanan County residents.

Missouri reports 10,317 COVID-19 cases with 562 deaths.

Kansas reports 7,886 cases with 172 deaths.
