John Herschel Hartschen, 76, of Country Club, Missouri, passed away on Friday, April 10, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
John was born on October 19, 1949, in Maryville, Missouri, to John Oscar Hartschen and Vera Mae (Wardrip) Hartschen.
He was a very talented man who could build just about anything. A skilled contractor, John owned and operated his own business for several years and worked from coast to coast doing tile work and flooring. He took great pride in his craft and was always involved in projects both big and small—whether it was installing flooring, renovating homes, or caring for his farm. In his free time, he enjoyed watching westerns, spending time with his wife and grandchildren, and tinkering in the garage.
John is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Francis; his brother, Darryl; his children, Jennifer (Todd) Yarnell, Jeff (Heather) Hartschen, Brian (Ann) Allen, Rian (Jarmi) Allen, Jason (Tina) Allen, and Gretchen Peters; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, John Oscar and Vera Mae Hartschen.
A private family burial will be held at a later date. Cremation under the direction of Simplify Cremations & Funerals.
