COVID-19 cases have spiked in Buchanan County with test results coming in from mass testing at Triumph Foods and Mosaic Life Care now reports four COVID-19 patients hospitalized in its network.
Missouri state health officials reported Sunday that 373 employees and contract workers with Triumph Foods in St. Joseph have tested positive for COVID-19. The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services says none of the 373 displayed symptoms of the coronavirus.
More results are expected over the next few days.
Buchanan County now reports 224 coronavirus cases; 212 confirmed and 12 probable.
Andrew County is now reporting six total COVID-19 cases, five of which are confirmed by a lab.
Mosaic Life Care has now tested 2,107 individuals for the coronavirus with 84 testing positive for COVID-19. Mosaic says four of those testing positive have been hospitalized with the remaining 82 being treated on an outpatient basis.
