St. Joseph city officials report 11 new positive cases for COVID-19, nearly all coming from the testing of Triumph Foods employees.

Testing of Triumph employees began last week after the pork processing plant reported its first cases of the coronavirus among its workers. Triumph reported late last week that 16 employees had tested positive.

City officials say 10 of the 110 Triumph workers tested had COVID-19. Test results from three workers are pending. Testing of all Triumph employees is expected to be completed this week. The plant employs approximately 2,800 workers.

Buchanan County now reports a total of 59 cases of COVID-19; 56 confirmed with three probable. Andrew County reports a resident in their 50s has tested positive and is isolated at their home.

Mosaic Life Care says it has tested slightly more than 1,500 area residents with 46 testing positive. All are being treated on an outpatient basis. Mosaic is awaiting results on 47 tests.

Missouri health officials report 6,997 COVID-19 cases with 274 deaths.

In Kansas, 3,174 cases have been recorded with 118 deaths.
