The Missouri Western men's basketball team received a verbal commitment on Sunday from Lincoln Christian High School senior Justin Bubak.
The 6-foot-4 Bubak earned Nebraska First Team Class C1 All-State honors three times during his career for the Crusaders. This past season he averaged 16.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.9 steals per game, while shooting 55 percent from the field.
Bubak led Christian to a 22-6 record this past season and an appearance in the Class C1 semifinals. He chose the Griffons over many other Division II schools as he had offers from Missouri Southern, Nebraska-Kearney, Pittsburg State, Fort Hays State and others.
Bubak comes from a very athletic family as his brother played tight end at Arizona State and his sister was on the track and field team at Lehigh.
