Two employees of Triumph Foods have tested positive for the coronavirus.
Triumph Foods made the announcement Monday afternoon, saying that the two employees are under quarantine. Neither of the employees have returned to the facility in St. Joseph, according to Triumph.
Triumph reports it is notifying all the employees who worked in close contact with the affected individuals as per guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and local health authorities. All have been instructed to quarantine. The company is not aware of any other employees testing positive.
“Triumph Foods recognizes its important obligation to maintain in the food supply chain. This is why we are actively monitoring the situation, coordinating with public health officials and implementing action plans, as necessary, to ensure we are able to continue operating safely and supplying food for our employees, families and communities,” according to a news release issued by the company.
