Leo V. Stock, 94, Saint Joseph, Missouri, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2024.
He was born on December 6, 1929, in Saint Joseph, Missouri, to Leo and Helen (Bauman) Stock.
Leo was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 571, St. Joseph General Assembly 569, the Catholic Order of Foresters, and Christian Brothers Alumni Association. He was also a faithful parishioner at the Cathedral of St. Joseph.
He was a proud graduate of Christian Brothers High School; Class of 1947. Leo continued his education at St. Joseph Junior College where he studied business. His career was dedicated to serving others, starting his career with Bartlett Mortgage Company and retired from American Family Insurance Company after 37 years.
Leo will be remembered for his deep commitment to his faith, his community, and his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Louis Stock, Thomas Stock, and Virgil Stock; and his stepson, Daniel Dzubay.
Survivors include his wife, Lee Stock; son, Steven Stock (Becky); daughter, Stacy Smith (Brian); stepson, James Dzubay; grandchildren, Ashley Schwind (Stephen), Andrew Smith (Kelly), Courtney Mitchell (Nick); step grandchildren, Daniel Dzubay and Serenity Dzubay; great grandchildren, Dalton Schwind, Benjamin Smith and Katherine Smith; brother, Francis Stock (Dorothy), sister-in-Law, Marge Stock; brother-in-law, John Gierach.
Mass of Christian Burial and Public Livestream 10:00 A.M. Saturday, St. Joseph Cathedral Catholic Church. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery. Parish Rosary 5:00 P.M. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, where the family will gather with friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
