St. Joseph police officer contracts COVID-19

A St. Joseph police officer has contracted COVID-19.

St. Joseph Police Chief Chris Connally has confirmed that a patrol officer contracted the coronavirus. No identification of the officer is being released.

Mosaic Life Care reports testing nearly 800 people with 25 testing positive. Mosaic currently has no one hospitalized with the coronavirus. A patient who had been hospitalized in Albany has been treated and transferred. Mosaic declines to provide any further information.

Mosaic is awaiting test results from 46 people.

Missouri now has recorded 5,111 cases with 152 deaths.

Kansas cases have topped 1,500 with 80 deaths.
