Holt County health officials have confirmed the county’s first case of COVID-19.
The Holt County Health Department reports the patient is a woman who is between 30 and 40 years old. Officials say the woman is recovering at her Holt County home in voluntary self-isolation. Health officials are working to identify whoever the woman might have come into contact with.
The news comes on the heels of Mosaic Life Care reporting five patients tested positive for the coronavirus on Tuesday, increasing the number of positive tests in its network to 25. All are being treated as outpatients, except for one person hospitalized in Albany.
Mosaic has tested 726 individuals with 39 test results pending.
Missouri has now tested 48,803 people with 4,686 testing positive. Missouri has recorded 133 deaths from the virus.
Northwest Missouri counties which have yet to confirm a case of COVID-19 are Daviess, Grundy, and Mercer.
