D2Football.com announced its 2010s All-Decade football team Tuesday and 50 players were honored, including one former Missouri Western Griffon. Kicker Greg Zuerlein is on the All-Decade First Team after having one of the most impressive seasons a kick has ever had at any level.

Zuerlein began his career at Nebraska-Omaha, but transferred to Missouri Western after UNO cut the football program after his junior season in 2010. He had one year left and helped MWSU to a 9-3 record and an appearance in the NCAA Division II Playoffs.

Zuerlein made 23-of-24 field goals in 2011 and made all nine of his attempts from beyond 50 yards, including two from 58. He set a NCAA Division II record with 21 consecutive field goals and was named First Team All-American, All-Region and All-MIAA. Zuerlein was then drafted in the Sixth Round of the 2012 NFL Draft by the St. Louis Rams, as he became first non-BCS kicker to be drafted since Stephen Gostkowski in 2006 and the first below the Division I FBS level since Paul Ernster in 2005.

Zuerlein spent his entire career with the Rams until he signed a three-year 7.5 million dollar contract with the Dallas Cowboys last month. He's connected on 82.0 percent (201-of-245) for his career with a long of 61 yards. Zuerlien was a 2017 First Team All-Pro and was selected to the 2017 Pro Bowl after making 38-of-40 field goals that season.
