NEWTON COUNTY — One person died in an accident just before 9:30p.m. Sunday in New County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2008 Chevy Impala driven by Alex W. Foster, 25, Springfield, was northbound on Interstate 49 three miles north of Neosho.
The Chevy rear-ended a bicycle driven by Michael L. Linton, 51, Neosho. Linton was pronounced dead at the scene. Foster was not injured and properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the MSHP.
