BUCHANAN COUNTY — One person was injured in an accident just before 2:30p.m. Sunday in Buchanan County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported Buchanan County Deputies were northbound on MO 371 at Young Street in pursuit of a 2006 Honda passenger vehicle driven by Haley M. Kraus, 21, Independence.
The vehicle crossed the center line and the driver overcorrected. The vehicle traveled off the east side of the road and struck a guard rail.
Buchanan County EMS transported Kraus to Mosaic Life Care. She was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP. The agency did not indicate what prompted the chase.
