ANDREW COUNTY— One person was injured in an accident just after 4p.m. Tuesday in Andrew County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2001 Chevy Silverado driven by Cayden R. Carter, 18, Rosendale, was attempting to turn southbound onto MO 48 from a private driver two miles south of Rosendale.

The driver failed to yield. A westbound 2003 Ford F150 driven by Robert D. McClellan, 54, Barnard, skidded clockwise in an attempt to avoid a collision. The Silverado struck the driver side door of the Ford.

Andrew County EMS transported Carter to Mosaic Life Care. McClellan was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the MSHP.
