St. Joseph has extended its shelter-in-place order in an effort to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
The order had been set to expire at midnight Thursday. It has been extended until at least April 24th.
Residents are asked to stay home as much as possible, going out only for necessities. Only essential businesses are allowed to operate.
City officials say enforcement provisions could lead to fines for businesses which violate the order or, perhaps, even revocation of their business licenses.
