Gov. Mike Parson has appointed Judge W. Doug Thomson to the Missouri Court of Appeals, Western District.
Thomson, an associate circuit and probate judge in Nodaway County, succeeds Judge Victor Howard, who retired in November.
Thomson is a native of Maryville, who received a finance degree from Missouri State University in Springfield and a degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law.
Thomson is a member of the Missouri Bar Board of Governors as well as the Missouri Association of Probate and Associate Circuit Judges.
