NODAWAY COUNTY — Two people were injured in an accident just before 3p.m. Sunday in Nodaway County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan driven by Kaleb J. Church, 20, Belvue, NE. was westbound on MO 148 just north of Maryville.
The driver failed to yield at stopping at the stop sign at U.S. 71. The van traveled into the intersection and struck a southbound 2011 Hyundai Elantra driven by Robert I. Leopold, 31, Clarinda, IA.
Nodaway County EMS transported Leopold and a passenger in the van Harley Starling, 20, Maryville, to Mosaic Life Care. Church was not injured. All three were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the MSHP.
