29 is set to close for bridge repair, once again.This
time, the Missouri Department of Transportation has scheduled I-29 to close at
U.S. Route 159 in Holt County, near Mound City, at the beginning of next week.MoDOT
says Boone Construction Company will set steel girders for replacing the deck
on the Route 159 overpass, beginning Monday morning at 9 o’clock. No traffic
will be allowed underneath that overpass from Monday morning until Wednesday
evening at 5pm. Both directions of traffic on I-29 will be directed up and over
the ramps at Highway 159 at that time.The
Route 159 bridge over I-29 will be closed through the end of May.
