St. Joseph city officials have closed city playgrounds to children due to coronavirus concerns.
The City of St. Joseph has stated playground equipment will be closed to the public in an effort to cut off the spread of COVID-19. The closing of the playgrounds is part of the amended emergency declaration issued by the city.
Playgrounds might be closed, but the city does point out city parks and trails remain open. In fact, city officials encourage the public to use the parks and trails as a way to get out and exercise even as they maintain the social distance recommended by health officials.
