The Clinton County, Missouri, Health Department confirmed Monday morning there is a positive case of COVID-19 in the county.
According to the Clinton County Health Department, the resident is a man in his 40s. He is experiencing mild illness, and is recovering at home, under voluntary self-isolation.
According to the Health Department, the case appears to be community-acquired, meaning the patient had no known contacts with other positive cases.
The Health Department asks everyone to assume the virus is present in every community within the region, and to apply the social distancing measures that have been ordered by the Director of the Department of Health and Senior Services.
