Buchanan County Prosecuting Attorney's Office closed to public

Posted Mar 19, 2020 4:27 PM

Buchanan County Prosecuting Attorney Ron Holliday announced that effective immediately the office of the Prosecuting Attorney will be closed to the public due to the COVID-19 crisis.

The closure includes both the criminal division of the office, which is located in the Buchanan County Courthouse, and the Child Support Division, which is located in the Hillyard building.

“While our employees remain at work doing the essential work in the office, I want to do everything possible to reduce risk to the employees," Holliday says in an email. "The court system is closed except for those hearings required by law to take place within certain time standards. For that reason, we do not have victims actually coming to the courthouse. All other routine traffic to our office is not essential given the crisis and we can provide most services by phone, on-line through our website, or via e-mail.”

Holliday adds that they will continue to serve the public through their website yourbcpa.com, through email at [email protected] or by phone at (816) 271-1480.
