The St. Jo Frontier Casino will close temporarily out of “an abundance of caution in response to the COVID-19 coronavirus,” casino officials say in an email.

Casino officials say there have been no reports of the coronavirus at the property.

“We will further continue to follow the guidance of state and local authorities, as well as the Center for Disease Control and the World Health Association. We look forward to welcoming you back as soon as possible,” the email sent out by Director of Marketing Roxanne Miller states.

The St. Jo Frontier Casino took the action after Gov. Mike Parson announced that after consulting with the chair of the Gaming Commission, all Missouri casinos will close at midnight tonight to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
