St. Joseph school officials will extend the spring break to at least April 6th.
The St. Joseph School District has sent a message to parents and staff stating that after much discussion and consideration, the district will remain closed through April 3rd due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The district is on spring break this week. The closure applies to all St. Joseph public schools as well as extra-curricular activities and practices, Adult Education and Literacy, Hillyard Technical Center and early childhood programs.
The action by the district means that students now on spring break will not return on Monday. All schools will remain closed through Friday, April 3rd. Parents will be receiving additional information about educational opportunities for students in the coming days. Arrangements are being made to provide food for students who need it.
School buildings are undergoing deep cleaning with recommended disinfectants.
Additional information will be provided soon at the St. Joseph School District website, which can be accessed by clicking here.
