MWSU golf teams continue play in first events of the spring

The Missouri Western women's golf team finished up their second round at the Emerald Coast Classic in Destin, Florida on Monday. The Griffons have two golfers in the top 15 with one round to go, while MWSU is eighth as a team.

Allycia Gan is tied for ninth after round two after shooting an 81 on Monday, while Tammy Lim is tied for 13th after shooting a 76.

Missouri Western will play the final round of the tournament Tuesday at Baytowne Glub Club in Destin, Florida.

And the MWSU men's golf team played the opening round of their spring schedule Monday at the Warrior Invitational in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Senior Lucas Horseman is in the lead individually after the first round as he shot a 69. Jett Simmons is tied for 19th after an opening round 77 and Matt Thoms shot a 79 and is tied for 27th.

The Griffons are fourth as a team after day one and they'll wrap up the tournament Tuesday at Stallion Mountain Golf Course in Las Vegas.
