MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Northwest Missouri State women's basketball team was defeated by the Washburn Ichabods 83-58 on Thursday. Northwest shot poorly from the field in the game going only 35.8% from the field. The Bearcats were outscored in the paint 48-16.
Kendey Eaton led the Bearcats with 15 points and was followed by Jaelyn Haggard with 14. Erika Schlosser and Eaton led the Bearcats with three rebounds. Schlosser also led the Bearcats with six assists on the night.
Hunter Bentley led all scorers with 22 points and Shelbe Piggie added 12 points. Bentley led the Ichabods with six rebounds, and was one of three Ichabods with a team leading three assists.
The Bearcats will make the MIAA Tournament with a Newman loss on Saturday versus Fort Hays State.
