The Kansas City Royals (2-2) split their season-opening series with Cleveland, as the Guardians won the fourth and final game Monday, 10-7.
Carlos Hernandez started on the mound, and lasted 4.1 innings in a no-decision, giving up six hits and four runs.
The Royals tied the game 4-4 with three runs in the bottom of the fourth inning, but the Guardians tacked on two runs in the seventh, three in the eighth and one more in the ninth to regain the lead.
