ST. JOSEPH – The Missouri Western women's basketball team (19-7, 11-6 MIAA) started its game Saturday against Missouri Southern (9-16, 6-11) on an 18-2 run and never looked back, completing a season sweep of the Lions with a 76-47 win in the MWSU Fieldhouse.
Missouri Western never trailed and built a 47-point lead with 8:26 to go. At one point in the second half, the Griffons had went on a 47-10 run. With two games remaining in the regular season, the Griffons are won win from their first 20-win season since the 2016-17 season.
