Shatto Milk Company in Osborn opened its doors this morning to a long line of people.
Many waited for hours in line to get a limited-edition bottle of flavored milk commemorating the Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl win.
“We care about our community in a phenomenal way and we love to celebrate the wonderful things that happen in this area," says Barbara Shatto, Owner of Shatto Milk Company. "The Chiefs, the Royals, Children’s Mercy Hospital.. So we do a lot of fun things just to join in the community and have a happy time. Today even, we had tons of people here, people were actually here at like 3:30 in the morning… they were singing, they were just having a ball and meeting new people, it was just phenomenal.”
Shatto tells KFEQ Radio they estimate over 1,500 people came to the farm Wednesday.
The chocolate cherry flavored milk will be available in all stores that sell Shatto Milk on Thursday and Friday.
The company plans to make a total of 18,000 bottles.
Barbara Shatto adds that her favorite Chiefs player is Patrick Mahomes.
“He’s just such a young gentleman that really has been brought up right it seems and he’s so charitable and kind,” Shatto says. “I’d love for him to come out and milk a cow!”
