Northwest Missouri State sophomore runner Omar Austin has been named the MIAA track athlete of the week for the second straight week.
Austin placed second and ran a provisional qualifying time of 6.75 in the 60m dash, a new program record and ninth fastest in the country this year. He also placed second in the 200m dash with a provisional qualifying time of 21.34, the seventh fastest time in the country. He was also apart of the men's 4x400m that won the event with an automatic qualifying time of 3:10.96, which is a new program record and the third fastest time in the country this year.
Austin is the only one to win MIAA male track athlete of the week multiple times this year.
