Northwest women lose to No. 18 Central Missouri 73-60

MARYVILLE, Missouri - The Northwest Missouri State University women's basketball team lost to the No. 18 Central Missouri Jennies 73-60 in Bearcat Arena. Offensive rebounds and second chance points were the downfall of the Bearcats in this game. They gave up 19 offensive rebounds and 20 second chance points to the Jennies. The Bearcats shot 41.9% from the field in the game as opposed to the Jennies 39%.

Jaelyn Haggard led the Bearcats with 16 points, including four three-pointers. This is the third consecutive game that Haggard has made four threes. Mallory McConkey was also in double digits with 11 points. Erika Schlosser led the team with three assists. The Bearcats shot 42.9% from behind the arc.

Nija Collier led the Jennies in scoring with 19 and added 14 rebounds to give her a double-double on the game. Morgan Fleming with 16 and Ryann Stearns with 12 were the other Jennies in double figures.

The Bearcats will be back in action on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in Bearcat Arena against the Lincoln Blue Tigers.
