The Kansas City Chiefs started their journey to the Super Bowl at training camp in St. Joseph and Made with Uncommon Character is celebrating that connection.

“Made with Uncommon Character is all about promoting the good about St. Joseph and everything that we’re proud of,” says Kristi Bailey, St. Joseph Community Branding leader. “And our residents do take so much pride in watching the Chiefs start off here in the summer and do well every year, but especially this year to see them win the Super Bowl is just outstanding. So we knew that our residents would want to show their pride, not just Chiefs pride but St. Joseph’s tie to that.”

Bailey says the shirt was designed by Hilary Smith, a resident who helped with building the Uncommon Character campaign.

Pre-orders for the red, unisex shirts, size Small-3XL, will be taken through Feb. 19. Shirts are $20 and orders can be made at uncommoncharacter.com.

The Uncommon Character campaign launched in 2017 with a goal to help boost morale in St. Joseph and encourage tourism and talent recruitment.

All funds raised from T-shirt sales will go back into producing more content for the campaign.
