Another round of wintry weather is moving into the area.

The National Weather Service expects mostly snow north of Highway 36 with a mixture of rain and snow to the south of 36. NWS forecasts rain along and south of Highway 50.

Precipitation throughout the northern portion of Missouri is expected to switch completely to snow by this evening into the overnight, before gradually moving out of the area Friday.

Wind chills will make the temperature feel like it is in the single digits, perhaps even below zero, this morning in northern Missouri and northern Kansas, but temperatures should recover fairly quickly to bring highs up to the 20s and lower 30s.

The Weather Service expects between one to five inches of snow from this system. Things look dry through the weekend with a gradual warm up into the 40s and 50s by Monday, according to the NWS.
