DONIPHAN COUNTY — Two people were injured in an accident just after 6a.m. Saturday in Doniphan County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2014 Chevy Malibu driven by Ashley M. Burge, 23, Atchison, was westbound on US 36 just east of Kansas 120 highway.
The driver lost control of car on the icy road. The Chevy entered the eastbound lane of U.S. 36. An eastbound 2013 Kia Optima driven by Jenise M. Schraad, 58, Seneca, struck the Chevy.
EMS transported Burge and Schraad to Mosaic Life Care. Both drivers were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
