Teen, 71-year-old hospitalized after car rear-ends John Deere tractor

HARRISON COUNTY — Two people were injured in an accident just after 3:30p.m. Thursday in Harrison County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1992 Buick Regal driven by a 16-year-old boy from Ridgeway was westbound on U.S. 136 one mile east of Bethany.

The vehicle rear-ended a John Deere Tractor driven by Daniel L. Heyle, 71, Bethany. The impact pushed the tractor into the ditch where it overturned.

NTA ambulance transported Heyle and teen to Harrison County Community Hospital.  Heyle was later transferred to North Kansas City Hospital. The teen was properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the MSHP.
