DEKALB COUNTY — Two people were injured in an accident just before 7a.m. Wednesday in DeKalb County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2006 Ford F150 driven by Christopher A. Nelson, 60, Jameson, was southbound on U.S. 69 three miles north of Cameron.

The driver failed to observe two vehicles stopped for a school bus to load. The Ford rear-ended a 2005 Buick LaCrosse driven by Donald L. Jennings, 53, Bethany. The impact pushed the Buick off the road. The pickup then rear-ended a 2018 Ford F150 driven by Jason G. Estes, 45, Winston.

Cameron EMS transported Nelson and a passenger Dylan C. Nelson, 22, Jameson, to Cameron Regional Medical Center.  Jennings and Estes were not injured.

Dylan Nelson was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
