St. Joseph radio personality Matt Stooks, who through K-Jo 105.5 helped make the commute home easier, now will help energize the morning commute to work.
Stooks not only takes over mornings at K-Jo 105.5, but also takes on additional duties at the radio station. Stooks has been promoted to Program Director of KKJO.
“St. Joe is a great place to be. I’m thrilled to take on a bigger role at K-Jo to help our great team make an even better radio station for the city, and all of the communities that surround us," stated Stooks.
“Matt has displayed throughout his time in St. Joseph an energy and desire to be the best he can on-air and behind the scenes for Eagle Radio,” commented Eagle Radio St. Joseph Operations Manager, Travis Dodge.
Before coming to St. Joseph, Stooks worked for Eagle Radio in Manhattan, Kansas, where he did mornings on KJCK-FM, “Power Hits 97.5” as well as serving as Program Director for KJCK-FM and KQLA-FM. Before moving to Manhattan, Stooks did mornings on KLZR and KLWN in Lawrence, Kansas. He has a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Kansas.
“In our search for the next morning show host and for the next program director for K-Jo 105.5, Matt brought the best ideas to the interview table. I’m excited, and I believe K-Jo listeners will be excited to hear the new sounds and ideas that Matt will introduce to KKJO,” said Eagle Radio St Joseph General Manager, Doug Schmitz.
