Four adults, 2 children hospitalized after 4 vehicle crash

CLINTON COUNTY —Six people were injured in an accident just after 7:30p.m. Sunday in Clinton County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2012 Volvo semi driven by Zoran Ealjedic, 58, Shamburg, IL., was southbound on Interstate 35 five miles south of Cameron. The driver lost control of the vehicle. It hit a guardrail and came to rest under U.S. 69 blocking all lanes of southbound Interstate 35.

A 2016 Ford F150 driven by Jaime Maldonado, 50, Barboo, Wisconsin, a 2016 Volkswagen Jetta driven by Joseph B. Harris, 42, DeSoto, Kansas, and a 2019 Freightliner semi driven by Quintin M. Jensen, 23, Truman, Minnesota, struck the side of the Volvo semi.

Cameron EMS transported Maldonado to Cameron Regional Medical Center. Tri-County EMS transported Harris and passengers in the Volkswagen Cassidy E. Harris, 18 and Cyreesa Harris, 43, both of DeSoto to Liberty Hospital. Cameron EMS transported 2 juveniles in the Volkswagen to Children's Mercy Hospital. Ealjedic was not injured. All were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the MSHP.
