Bethany man charged in connection with string of burglaries in St. Joseph

A Bethany man was taken into custody and charged in connection to a string of burglaries in St. Joseph.

According to Commander Eric Protzman with the St. Joseph Police Department, the area around the North Belt Hwy and Frederick Ave has recently been plagued with a rash of burglaries.

St. Joseph police detectives, with assistance from the Buchanan County Drug Strike Force conducted follow-up and covert operations which resulted in the arrest of 26-year-old Cody Dale Ash of Bethany. According to Protzman, Ash was taken into custody just after midnight Sunday in the 3700 block of Faraon St and charged with Burglary.

He is currently in the custody of Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office on $25,000 bond for burglary.
